  3. Doug, my fellow Armenian and Herald Alum, I voted for your website on Fine Cooking and plan on sampling a recipe or two. I have a couple you might like to try from my onetime syndicated Pilot Light column archive even though they are American.

My grand uncle was Count Mikhail Tarielovich Loris-Melikov, son of an Armenian merchant, military hero of the Russo-Turkisk wars, mininster of the interior under Alexander II, acting czar for six months while Alex was in hiding from terrorisys and author of the Loris-Melikov Constitution that the czar signed on the morning of March 13, 1881, hours before he was assassinated by a bomb tossed in St. Petersburg.

Great to hear from you! What a fascinating family history.

And yes, we'd love to try your any of your recipes.

Just to clue the rest of you in, Greg is not only a former pillar of the Miami Herald's editing staff, he's a longtime and highly respected food writer.

    Greg, thanks for your support!
